Sun liege by your star trees

She heard his call across the gathering drift of burning cedar
Across the low-set bed of wandering parsley and violet
When all her hope was dead
This belladonna child
He came
Here they picked wild strawberries
Arrows unslung
In the brilliant resilient
First rays of the Spring!
By Summer such wonder
By Fall he was gone
Fare thee well strong union
As though it were none
Was once, maybe twice
Maybe nothing at all
How shallow
How callous
How cruel life can be
I invoke, I invoke!
Don't think me a fool
We can feel the silent presence
As the end nears
We are cold and displaced
Can shed no more tears
We are done pretending
To love like before
I’ve become old and tired
My hearts broken and sore
I gather my strength and fight my tears each dawn
My heart devastated
I have to go on alone
Your swoon into me is the cliff-clinging pine
Those nights of delight
You were mine, yes you were mine
You were mine, O my saint
By the might of the right
Of the night of our fate
Though I fall, though I faint
Though I char
Though I choke
By the hour of our power
I invoke, I invoke!
Go away demons
Go possess someone else
By the mystical union
Of fairy and faun
No Godhead could charm her
No manhood awoke
O fiery Valkyrie
The poor blinded fans
I'm searching through this garbage
Looking for a friend
Alone as one who sits ashore and longs perchance
So thou wast blind
This story of ours
Has finally drawn to an end
After all our time together
This is goodbye my best friend
Aye on the shores of darkness there is light
And precipices show untrodden green
There is a budding morrow in midnight
There is a triple sight in blindness keen
Such seeing hadst thou
As it once befell
Was Heaven, now Hell
It seems to me to dream
It's something too wild
We sit here together
No words to speak
Overwhelmed by agony
Caught up in defeat
Somehow, somewhere
Something went wrong
What happened to love
Once felt so strong
Ruin is a gift
Ruin is the road to transformation
