Interplanetary Waltz

As when upon a bewitching summers eve
The robed King of the mighty woods appeared
The moss lain dryads are lulled to sleep
Branch charmed by the earnest stars
And the stars will fade from the sky
The moon will fall in the sea
Dream and so dream all night without a stir
As if the ebbing air had but one wave
A land of ancient chivalry
So came these words
And so they went
Flowing tears
Fluttering amongst the Olympians
I see
And I sing
By my own eyes inspired
Upon those midnight hours
Thy oracle
Thy grove
Thy voice
Thy lute
Thy incense sweet
Thy shrine
Of prophet dreaming
Show me the holy night
Show me the rising sun
Utterly amazed were those Titans
O leave them, Muse!
O leave them to their woes
Many a fallen divinity
Of deities or mortals
Or of both
In the vale of Tempe or the hills of Arcady?
What men or gods are these?
What mad pursuit?
What struggle to escape?
What timbrels?
What wild ecstasy?
Wandering in vain about these bewildered shores
Meantime touch piously the Delphic harp
In aid soft warble from the Dorian flute
Through all these labyrinths
Embowered Cyclades
With thine olives green
In which the Zephyr breathes the loudest song
Apollo is once more the golden theme
And his twin-sister sleeping in their bower
And in the morning twilight wandered forth
Beside the osiers of a rivulet
During the pain Mnemosyne upheld
O Goddess of time
Her arms as one who prophesied
O Muse
Celestial

Casual Agent

Wind of illusion came darkly down my street
Singing softly of the muse
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever
But you rode on to the violence of the sun
And the colors of the sea blind your eyes
And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses
How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing
For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips
And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise sea
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea
Strange infatuation seems to grace the evening tide
I want you to be free, but is it free?
Your sorrow that has made a slave of me
I wish to know how to keep you
You rise like a tide in my oceans
And you shine like the moon over them
But you darken the sky when you leave
Forgive me, but you are all I know
The day is breaking now, the earth is dry and torn
I know you're tired from the violence of the storm
I love you, and you are all I know
The sadness in your eyes has made a slave of me
Without you I seem to lose the power of speech
Without you, I am nothing at all
I feel you slipping slowly from my reach
You grow within me like an evergreen
You've never seen the lonely me at all
Let the wind and ocean water
Wash away a thousand memories like sand
She serves the smooth retsina
She keeps me safe and warm
Call in my reservation
Far out in the wilderness
The woods, the hills echo a voice
A voice calling me to come closer
To embrace the mysteries of nature
To know her deepest secrets embedded within
Nature - the immortal beauty
Like nymph Calypso with all her charms
Tries to imprison me forever
The insatiable desire
The greedy need, the want
What is it that I crave for?
This is the question I ask myself
When alone or amongst people
I feel there is depravity within me
You may call it a vice
It is my simple fancy
Of having you forever with me
To be a part of my mornings and evenings
And to make my nights more desirable
I am no saint, but an average being
With ruling of heart and not mind
This time
You will me to name it
It comforts me and makes me feel
And when your fingers find her
She drowns you in her body
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter
Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands
