Sat 'neath the eyes of the lofty skies...

The little child inside the man
Giving wispy vapour to her breath
Cool cold afternoons alone
A hovering air of mysticism
Over our brooding beach
Sad because the lovers are not there
Man in the bushes looking down
But they are not there
No longer
They have gone
Their closeness torn apart
So let me tell you again and again and again
A caring arm around his shoulders
In his eyes
A once-clear oceanic blue
Now fraught with inconceivable pain
Wavered under water
Tears telling torrid truths
He couldn’t face them
Like the glowering image in the mirror
You don’t see in your mind’s eye
The compensation
Only the delusion
We see him sitting on the concrete steps
That led down to the dew-laden garden
She’s peering up
Sensing her diffuse companion
His glare giving crispness to the stealth of the dulling evening
But the bite of air couldn’t lift the sorrow
Of pale hearts in love
Shadowed by many a scoffing eye
Rejection hurt
Sweet angel it hurts
Wrenches deep
Emotion that we can't deny
Welcome joy
And welcome sorrow
Come today brother
Stab me tomorrow
I do love you both together
I ache for that sneer
And to hear your laugh amid the thunder
My funereal heart
Shipwrecked
Nightshade
Serpents are all around us
Cleopatra regal-dressed
With the asp at her breast
Wolves every one of them
Vultures preparing for the feed of their petty lives
Giddy for the poisonous wine
Do not suffer dear swan King
I kiss thy pale forehead
I remove every tear
Your partner in your sorrow's mysteries
And drown the wakeful anguish of the soul
Imprison my soft hand
And let me be happy
And feed deep
Deep upon these peerless eyes
She dwells within your beauty
Beauty that has died
And her hand
That hand is forever at his lips
Bidding adieu again
And aching with the pleasure of his touch
Bruises on her skin still reminders of their love
Here geez'
Good to see ya
In the very temple of delight
Turning to poison and then have gone
Veiled melancholy has her sovran shrine
His soul tastes the sadness of her might
The day is gone
And all its sweets are gone
Sweet voice, sweet lips, soft hand
Warm breath, light whisper, tender semitone
Bright eyes, accomplished shape
And lang'rous waist
Faded the flower and all its budded charms
Faded the sight of beauty from my eyes
Faded the shape of beauty from my arms
Faded the voice
Of fragrant curtained love
Begins to weave into a knotted pit
But, as I've read love's missal
I love you now and forever
He'll let me sleep
Seeing I fast and pray
Nebuchadnezzar had an ugly dream
He had made a nest for mice and rats
Think not of it, sweet one
Give it not a tear
Sigh thou mayst, and bid it go
Do not swoon so sad, sweet one
Sad and fadingly
Shed one drop then
It is gone
Weep, I'll count your tears
And each one shall be a bliss
Brighter as it left thine eyes
And thy whispering melodies
Are tenderer still
As all things mourn awhile
At fleeting bliss
Where has my poet gone
He is the other half of the sky
Alone now
Oh brother swim away your tears on our beach
Oh brother I weep
Oh brother I want to sleep
Oh brother the story of O
The sacred place lies dormant now
I look through a box labelled ephemera
Mixed emotion and thoughtlessness
After all it is written in the stars

Where Unicorns and Gods once played..

As evening shaped I found I was gone
Scarce a memory
And brother you are cunning
Your mistress
Your lover
Your best friend
Your confidante
Your slave
Oh King
Why did you put me up against the wall
Superfluous none
The black lean featureless contours
Was like a tract in pain
"This scene, like my own life," I said
All is one
Why'd you do that to me
Because you love me so much
Laughable
Your stupid Queen
Yes I am your Queen
Gloom abides
Toned by its misfortune
Lightless on every side
The bitter self-reproaches as I stood
It dealt me silently
As one perverse
In graceless mutiny
Against the horizon's dim discernment
A form rose
Strange sad King
It's hopeless
I can not behold
He had gone
And he laughed
He swallowed everything
Like distance
Like the sea
Like time
In you everything sank
It was the happy hour of assault and the kiss
Turbulent drunkenness of love
In you everything sank!
Dark autumn... sweet misery
I whisper and softly embrace you
Not good enough
Goodbye
As dark silhouettes we drift apart into the night
But you're my twin
And you're my double
And you're my man
And one day I could set it to music
Pale images summons the night
In nightly silence I dream of you
A thundering voice of pain and sorrow
Calling with the sound of falling rain
Sorrow grows
Candles burning in a darkened room
In haunting silence sadness reaches out for me
A lost life painting pictures of loneliness
Life brings forth a crying voice
Confronted with illusions
Of twisted untold dreams
A fragmented piece of none
Collapse into despair
I´ve endured in doubt
Rapture´s just a dream
To placate my mind
I must placate my soul
Oh I know you could soothe me
Oh I know you could enflame me too
Oh I know you have the power
Oh I know you have it all
Its hard to outrage me
But sorrow is all I feel today
Tomorrow is just another day
Darkness confronting all my dreams
Wasting away towards tomorrow´s pain
Thoughts are useless as are deeds
No more...
You cannot mock my agony anymore
In cloudless radiance
Queen of silver night has died
Yes I am your Queen
You surely do belong to me
Yes we are from the one thing
Yes we are a pair
A pair of fucking fools
One a cranky, cantankerous loon
The other an amoral babylonian tart
I hear music on the zephyr’s wing
Arises with the awakening melody
The unseen minstrels of the aereal song
Pour the fierce tide around this lonely form
And roll the tempest's wildest swell along
In fiercest tumult on the rocking shore
Destroy this life or let earth's fabric be no more
Yes every tie that links me here is dead
Mysterious fate
Its not right
It hurts
The elongation of love
Your modern dryad
Your amoral nymph
Your overgrown girl
Your generous friend
The delightful companion
Sam Mayfair extraordinary
I'm sorry
I love you
I do
Since hope, peace, and joy are fled
In triumph, you're laughing wildly
Mocking my pain
Your happy days
And though with direst pangs my heart-strings swell
Oh, heavy, heavy my despair
Because of one so unfair
My misery knows no future
What this strange pitfall should imply
That we, though far from him
Are present in our exile here
